Vestibular Rehabilitation (VR) is a highly effective modality for most patients with disorders of the vestibular or central balance system. The success of the therapy is the use of existing neural systems in the human brain for adaptation which are closely related to the direction, duration, frequency, magnitude, and nature of retraining the stimulus. The protocols of VR take advantage of the plasticity in the brain to restore symmetry.
